12 Mar Borowczyk Retrospective and Exhibition at BFI Southbank and The ICA , London
The Kinoteka Polish Film Festival, organised by the Polish Cultural Institute in London, presented a retrospective of Borowczyk’s films across two institutions, BFI Southbank and the Institute of Contemporary Arts.
The film programme, curated by Daniel Bird and Maggi Hurt, was accompanied by an exhibition, curated by Daniel Bird and Juliette Desourges, featuring Borowczyk’s works on paper and sound sculptures.
BFI Southbank also hosted a forum on Borowczyk, which included contributions of Daniel Bird, Michael Brooke, Peter Graham, Ewa Mazierska and Jonathan Owen.
Kuba Mikurda and Kuba Wojnarowski also presented a talk.
The Horse Hospital in Russell Square also hosted an exhibition of Borowczyk’s Polish film posters from the 1950s.
